Are you a therapist looking for a new opportunity? Global Online Therapy is expanding our team, and you could be the latest addition to our long list of skilled professionals! Read on to find out more.
What Does It Mean to Be an Online Therapist?
Being an online therapist is not much different from being a therapist on-site. Your core duties remain the same, except for the way sessions are held, and being an online therapist also comes with a few additional perks. Sessions are held online, so as an online therapist, you will need a stable internet connection and a laptop/computer with a functioning mic and camera.
At Global Online Therapy, clients have the option of specifically requesting you as a therapist based on your online bio, or you will be matched with a suitable client by our dedicated intake team during the client’s free introduction session. You will be notified whenever an appropriate match has been made, and from thereon, appointments can be scheduled.

The Benefits of Working as an Online Therapist
There are many benefits to being an online therapist at Global Online Therapy. This includes the following:
- You can work from wherever you want.
- Since your job is not location-based, you can work from absolutely anywhere, as long as you have a stable internet connection.
- You can set your own hours.
- Before you officially begin your career as an online therapist at Global Online Therapy, we will have a discussion about your preferred working hours and arrange to communicate the same to potential clients.
- All sessions occur online via secure and encrypted communication, so you don’t ever have to be concerned over privacy or confidentiality.
- You can actually take advantage of the perks of being an online therapist as well as continue having an on-site practice. Being available online will simply allow you to reach individuals who are far away and would’ve never been able to visit your practice in person.
- Our intake team and coordinators are there to support you every step of the way, from directing clients to taking care of a lot of the onboarding admin and simply assisting with other supporting tasks.
- You’ll have an entire network of professionals at your disposal for easy reference.
- Need to refer a client to a psychiatrist? A couples counselor? A trauma specialist? The Global Online Therapy team is incredibly diverse, and whatever falls outside of your particular skillset lies just a click and quick reference away.
